And that nature is STILL the nature and nature doesn't change.

The nature of the attack is the nature of the attack and it will BE the nature of the attack for time immemorial

Let us not desecrate our honored dead.

From the plaque at the memorial:

U.S.S. ARIZONA MEMORIAL

WAR MEMORIAL OF THE PACIFIC

PEARL HARBOR, HAWAII

“....IN HONOR AND IN COMMEMORATION OF THE MEMBERS OF THE ARMED FORCES OF THE UNITED STATES WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES TO THEIR COUNTRY DURING THE ATTACK ON PEARL HARBOR, HAWAII ON DECEMBER 7, 1941. PUBLIC LAW 87-201”

Gen. Douglas MacArthur said on his return to Corregidor, “I see that the old flagpole still stands. Have your troops hoist the colors to its peak and let no enemy ever again haul it down.”

A separate memorial for the enemy soldiers, away from the Arizona is preferable.
