There is only one rational side to this argument. Those who favor this intervention are either total fools or favor it for their own enrichment at the cost of precious American lives.

There is no reason at all to go into Syria. Both sides are our enemies.

this is extremely important to consider.

NOT ONE person(cantor included) on the side of attacking Syria makes the point of having conclusive evidence beyond any doubt that Assad ordered a chemical attack.

the evidence that does exist tends to point guilt at the so-called rebels.

this is hardly a reasoned approach to possibly igniting WW3, not to mention that since this is aiding radical muzzies who are the enemies of America, this is treasonous.

To dismiss opponents of your view as being "fools" is to debate, much as a democrat does. I am in favor of intervention, long ago. Mostly towards Iran, when Iran stuck their nose into the Iraq war, they should've had their hands cut off. Seeing as how nobody really seems to know what they're doing in this administration, doesn't preclude the idea that properly handled intervention could be a good thing. And yes, I am a combat veteran and I have a son serving and several nephews.

We could launch an intervention, to make an example out of Syria that Iran would not soon forget. I'll lay out a quick template, but firstly, I'd cut off all supplies to Syria. Mining the ports and harbors of Syria, with an announcement after the fact. Complete destruction of every runway in Syria and severance of all roads and bridges leading to Syria. No supplies in. Next, I'd repaint the Israeli air force with American insignia's and turn them loose on Hezballah. Just because we intervene in Syria doesn't mean we can't attack our other enemies, including Islamic fundamentalists. No sense in not hitting the cock roaches when and where they can be found. Next, a series of drone attacks that decimates Syria's anti-aircraft systems. Next comes their ballistic missiles, again, I'm sure the Israeli's would be thrilled to help.

Give Vlad a call on the hotline and tell him to get his ships out of there, if he wants them intact. Nothing else to be discussed with him, and he recognizes nothing but strength and weakness, which he have so far demonstrated in spades.

Act in such a surprisingly ruthless manner, such that Iran is deterred from continuing their nuclear program. Syria offers us the opportunity to make an abject example of what could become of Iran. Heck, we could probably take out half of the elite Iranian revolutionary guards who happen to be in Syria at this time. Iran has said they will hit Israel with missiles, and if they do, so be it. Its on. Their will be no reason to play nice, and no sense in doing everything with conventional weapons. Tactical nukes, and neutron bombs should then come into play. We could send Iran a map, showing the various targets we intend to destroy in their country, based on day 1 after their attack on Isreal, day 5, etc. They probably wouldn't believe this bozo in the WH, but it should be done. We all know that Iran represents an irrational actor who is about to acquire nukes. To sit idly by, while they do so, is criminally negligent, rising to the level of treason. Yes, once the dust settles, the world will hate us for a few years, and we won't be invited to all the euro cocktail parties, but we will have earned back, what Obama has taken 5 years to squander, namely, respectful fear. It is the only language the Russians and Iranians respect.

Exactly! What is with this author trying to be “fair”? It just makes him sound like an idiot.
