A transgender man is the first in Europe to give birth to a baby after becoming pregnant through a sperm donor.
The unidentified man, who was born a woman, delivered the baby boy at home with a midwife in the poor Neukoellin district of Berlin.
He insisted on a home birth because he refused to be listed as the mother on any hospital documents - a legal requirement of in Germany.
The case in Germany mirrors that of Thomas Beatie in the US, pictured, who has given birth to three children and was the first man to ever give birth
The father, who maintained the reproductive organs of a woman, has been taking hormone replacement therapies for years to switch sexes. Details about the sperm donor or any relationship information has been withheld from the public as the father wanted to protect his son from any attention.
Officially the child, who was born on March 18, does not have a mother, only a father.
A spokesman for the Berlin Senate Administration for Internal Affairs said: 'The person in question did not want to appear as a mother but as a father on the birth certificate and that request has been honoured.'
The expectant father also demanded that the gender of the child was 'not to be revealed under any circumstances'. But the authorities overruled this and announced it was a boy.
According to sources, Germany's vast and overarching welfare state intends to keep close tabs on the child in case 'psychological problems' linked to his conception and birth develop.

Slightly off subject, but we have a transgendered man running for City Council in my Council District in NYC. Par for the course is 90 percent of the candidates are homosexual, but this is new.

Not quite. Women have two X chromosomes; men have an X and a Y chromosome. She was not born with X chromosomes, and no amount of physical mutilation and steroid use will change that.

Men cannot have babies. They do not have the reproductive organs to have babies. Therefore, this is a woman. Albeit a sick, sad, mutilated woman, but a woman, none the less.
From a purely physiological standpoint, thank goodness the child was male, the developmental issues stemming from prenatal exposure to high levels of testosterone will likely not be as severe as would have been the case with a female child. Not that being born to such a sexually confused, self-mutilating delusional is going to be a walk in the park, mind you.
The really deplorable thing is that EVERYONE knows that these insane people are really women; they just choose to join in the depraved delusion, parroting that the naked emperor’s clothes are beautiful.
Exactly. When I saw the headline I thought it was saying that a genuine male who claimed to be a female had given birth(which, of course, would be news to say the least). So the headline completely lied.

LOL...born a woman, then decided to be a man, is now the first man to give birth to a baby. Uh, no...born a woman, still a woman, a woman who gave birth. You don’t get to just “decide” you are a different gender.

My comment above about stupidity is geared toward the press in actually reporting to us this was a man who had a baby and actually being serious about it as though it were true. It’s ridiculous.

Actually no. Only men have Y chromosomes, and X chromosomes. Women just have X chromosomes.
But you are right, whatever the surgury or hormones taken, she will always be a woman, no matter how physically mutilated and abused.
