Dave “Mudcat” Saunders, a veteran smash-mouth Democratic strategist, says he is supporting Republican Ken Cuccinelli for governor, branding Democrat Terry McAuliffe a “corporatist.”
“What these corporatists have done to us in rural America and in urban America …” Saunders said in a telephone interview. “I can’t support a corporatist. I just can’t. This guy is not my kind of Democrat.”

A corporatist . . . I prefer crony capitalist but I appreciate the point being made. That’s what cracks me about about so many of these leftie politicians like Al Gore: they exploit liberal causes and their lefty constituents just to get power and make a buck but most of them aren’t true believers in the underlying issues they represent. Politics is a crime of opportunity.

Translation: McAuliffe would not hire Saunders.
Yeouch! Take a look at the comment section of the Richmond Times Dispatch. Mudcat has been told by one poster he will not be welcome in the Hillary 2016 Virginia campaign.
Essentially, they’re saying they do not need anything other than east and north of Charlottesville to carry Virginia from now on. Southwest Virginia and southside can pretty much pound sand.
The libs are pounding hard on the comment section of the liberal Roanoke Times, Blue Ridge Caucas blog.
