As an NRA instructor, I feel comfortable calling Bravo Sierra on this college. A cautious instructor can use “blue guns” (plastic training guns available from mini revolvers to Ar-15) and thus give this “Institute of Academentia” no reason to cancel the course.

If they then do cancel the course, sue ‘em and own ‘em.

That's a very good point. I'm no expert instructor, but I taught my kids basic firearm safety using a 1911 style training pistol that shoots airsoft pellets. It has the same operation, including clearing, etc. but is a lot safer for young beginners and needless to say cheaper to shoot!

I suspect the school has a few too many anti-gun and anti-personal safety people on the board.
