Assad is not a “good guy”
But contrary to what the press says about him, he is not “in bed” with Iran. Iran hates anything but total subjection to the mullahs. Assad is surrounded by much more openness and people who enjoy living and appear prosperous.
Assad is closely connected the the Russians. Putin is doing all he can to protect him, and appears to be doing pretty well at that.
Is Putin a good guy? H No. But Putin is sane on some level and Obozo’s masters are not.
