This inspector is a moron and a slug. Toasters have a cord and dishwashers have a cord. But dishwashers also have a water connection and a drain. THAT is what he should at least peak at if he’s doing the job.
I have seen numerous water and drain connections blown by people. While large leaks are more fun, over several years, floors will rot due to slow leaks.
My daughter rented an apartment. When she turned on the new dishwasher the owners installed, water went all over the floor. Some moron never tightened the hose clamp on the drain. I talked her through the fix over the phone.
This is a great read - thanks for posting it!
Should have sent them to some gang banger's house in the barrio.
Oops! thought this thread was about Team Oracle.
Boneheads.
Hey Burt, you got off lucky. ABout 10 years ago I had some electrical work done by a certified electrician. He called the county to come out and inspect it as it involved a major circuit-breaker change and wiring.
He called, and I called, many times, and waited for them to come out. They never did. My electrical system worked so I duct-taped one uncovered outlet box and have never had a problem.
The next time, the SOB had better show up or I’ll do a column like Burt just did, in my local paper. The last time I did something like that, the shit hit the fan.
