“a Primary Day shortage of Spanish translators:
There were not enough Spanish language translators at the polls in Washington Heights causing mass frustration throughout the Dominican neighborhood. ... there was one working translator for each polling site. When the translator went on break, no Spanish speakers were available to help confused Latino voters understand how to operate the old-school lever machines.....”

My heart bleeds for them.

A little hint to Dominicans and others who come here, are given everything on a silver salver, then complain that we haven’t given them enough:

Learn English.

Better yet:

Go back to Dominica or wherever you came from.

De Blasio is near the 40% needed to avoid a runoff, if there is one it will be against Thompson who beat Quinn for 2nd place.

Weiner got only 5%. Huma was NOT at his side during his concession speech.

Lhota wins the GOP primary.

Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer beat Elliot Spitzer in the rat primary for Comptroller. Bad news for GOP hopes of winning the office, which probably only would have been possible if Spitzer was the rat.
