No, I didn’t listen to the arrogant POS!!! I was on the FR live thread for the speech, laughing at people’s comments (all the things they were doing instead of listening) and drinking beer!
My elderly aunt (83 years old) was trying to listen and fell asleep before the end of the speech. She called me to ask what he said in the latter half. I told her as far as I could tell, it was blah, blah, blah, but I had not actually listened. To help her out, I found the text of the speech online and sent her the link ... while doing this, I took a peek at how he ended it and there was the ‘resolve/humility/truth’ verbiage that he was spewing, trying to sound presidential and patriotic.
