Colorado is not that “Blue” once you get outside the festering pustules of political correctness and Progressivism that are Denver, Boulder, etc...
If anything, the honest among us would have to refer to this as “hoist by their own petards” where John Morse and Angela Giron are concerned...The new law was conveniently timely for the two...
This new elections law referred to in the John Caldara “political stunt man” dustup was originally written to take effect in 2014 but was changed to kick in immediately upon the governors signature.
It allows anyone who can show 22 days residence (power or cable tv bill for example) and states an “intention” to make a particular district their place of residence the opportunity to obtain a ballot on election day and vote in that district without prior registration...Caldara simply illustrated the idiocy of this law and “voted” a blank ballot to make the point...
Gov. John Hickenlooper signed the bill in May, two months after recall efforts were launched against Mr. Morse and Ms. Giron.
This change was spearheaded by Morse and Giron (for purposes presumably of taking advantage of the numerous (likely Dem-O-Rat) “gypsy voters” in their districts and adjacent (Denver and Boulder principally)...
If this was indeed their intended purpose for rushing thru this terrible bill, it may have instead helped cost ‘em their seats, and obviously did not have the intended effect...
Colorado is better off now they are both out of office...But we have more work to do; the list of Rats who need to look for other employment is long indeed...
And the guys and gals who led these recalls are now my new heroes...
She must be in the top 5 dumbest humans ever elected to an office.
Top three, Tenacious 1.
I find Liberace more feminine than DWS and I am straight.
She’s just lying again.
And Debbie comb your hair girl. It looks like a lice nest.
Throw "ugly" in there and you may be correct. She still has Maxine Waters, Hank Johnson and Queen Sheila Jackson Lee to beat, to take the stupid baton to the finish line.
If there were so many obstacles to voting, how come turnout was so high?
What do you mean? All elections are run at the local level, then the results are rolled up. In most places elections are at the county level, in some places the city level. There is no "giant aparatus". What are you talking about? I don't get it.
