I hidden camera is fine for CATCHING someone but a visible camera is good at PREVENTING things

Keep that in mind when you are considering surveilance cameras

Bank tellers and cashiers are discouraged from stealing because they know there are comeras watching them at all times.

I had a family member who owned a store- she spent half her time in the court trying to prosecute shoplifters until I told her to stuck the video cameras right in their face - real AND fake ones.

Her shoplifting losses cut down dramatically.

Do you want to CATCH someone injuring your child or PREVENT your child from being injured?

I had one of those old “eyeball” type webcams that mount on top of a monitor.

I never ever used it so I mounted it in the corner of my livingroom ceilling. It looks completely legit.

The teenage daughter that I have left that still lives with us hates that thing. She thinks I can log on from work and see whats happening in the house. Its great.

excellent advice - this is sounding a little like some personal jihad going on...just saying.

I wish all the mamas with babies out there would just stay home with them until they are ready for school. Then men can be fully employed once again & make enough money so that you don’t need to work.

...waiting for the krackens to be unleashed on that one...

Amen. I have hidden cameras in my store (more for liability than theft prevention), but a neighboring store has about 20 cameras throughout, and the monitor is right there where the people walk in so they know they’re being recorded. He’s never indicated that shoplifting was an issue...

Actually, catch, because then the bastard can’t get away with it anymore. 1 less criminal harming people. Preventing actually is good, of course, but if the evil intent is there, it will come out somewhere, probably multiple times. Good to stop the scum altogether.
