The fruits of epic incompetence
Washington Post ^ | September 12, 2013 | By Charles Krauthammer

Posted on 09/13/2013 5:00:16 AM PDT by Oldeconomybuyer

The president of the United States takes to the airwaves to urgently persuade the nation to pause before doing something it has no desire to do in the first place.

Strange. And it gets stranger still. That “strike Syria, maybe” speech begins with a heart-rending account of children consigned to a terrible death by a monster dropping poison gas. It proceeds to explain why such behavior must be punished. It culminates with the argument that the proper response — the most effective way to uphold fundamental norms, indeed human decency — is a flea bite: something “limited,” “targeted” or, as so memorably described by Secretary of State John Kerry, “unbelievably small.”

The mind reels, but there’s more. We must respond — but not yet. This “Munich moment” (Kerry again) demands first a pause to find accommodation with that very same toxin-wielding monster, by way of negotiations with his equally cynical, often shirtless, Kremlin patron bearing promises.

Yet, the Present of the United States cannot be bothered by the deaths of four Americans at the hands of a terrorist mob in Benghazi.

Obama is simply a traitor to the United States of America and 65 million other traitors to America voted for him.

Here's my take on the whole thing. There are a lot of players in the Middle East who want the "old guard" dictators of the region removed. These countries -- including Israel and many Arab states run by Islamic royal families -- have effectively been dictating U.S. foreign policy for years through their lobbying in Washington D.C.

The problem is that after three disastrous episodes in the last decade (Iraq, Libya and Egypt) the whole farce has been exposed because nobody has any clue about what comes next after the "old guard" dictator is deposed.

The continuing instability in that region will be their punishment ... and now ours, too.

No. They want them gone so they can have someone other than an old-guard dictator on their borders. The problem — as we have found — is that they may be better off with the dictator than with whatever idiocy comes next.

Is it that Kerry doesn’t know, or that he wants some pipelinesraum and sees Syria as the new Sudentenland?

Lets face it the biggest stumbling block is (i)slam as long as this cult exists you can rest assured there will be no peace. I have no problem believing and praying to God, just eliminate the rest conceived and cobbled together by a disturbed human being.

I can't understand Israel's motives for their moves other than seeming to be Israeli experimentation with "peaceful" solutions that we are expected to pay for.

I still don't get how they think they are going to be better off without Assad.

We would be better served with the “blind leading the blind”.

What we have is THE ARROGANT, THE INCOMPETENT, THE EVIL leading the BLIND.

Krauthammer, Hannity, and several others on the right are not reading this thing properly, i.e. still claiming that Assad is responsible for the gas attack and that Putin is some sort of a villain. That simply does not jibe with most of what I’m seeing which sounds believable.

Obama’s interest in an un-provoked US Military invasion of non-enemy Syria has nothing to do with Syria, poison gas, or “the children.”

Obama’s interest in bombing non-enemy Syria has everything to do with creating a long-lasting, controversial, DISTRACTION for Congress in order to keep Congress from defunding Obama”care”/Boehnerkare.

Obama’s “Red Herring” for the 9-11 Benghazi Massacre Coverup was Susan Rice’s phony TV Video story.

Obama’s “Red Herring” for distracting Congress until Obama”care”/ Boehnerkare kicks in October 1 was Obama’s “Crossing HIS personal Red Line” distraction speech LAST YEAR.

Con-artist Obama speaks only for Obama, not the US Military, US Federal Government Foreign Policy or America.

Obama has isolated himself, and has primed himself for Impeachment.

IMPEACH OBAMA !

REMEMBER BENGHAZI !

The Russians are bred to be ruthless leaders and negotiators. The Obama Administration is full of pot smokers, community organizers, nancy boys and wyminists. Not much of a match against men are they?

El Residente’s decions are not a result of his incompetence.

He does what his new world order advisors tell him to do.

Charles knows this; Charles is simply saying what his new world order masters want him to say.

Rally the neocons Charles !

It’s all Obama’s fault !

New world order does not exist !

If we vote in a few Republicans, for a more “fair and balanced” government, everything will be “ok”.

What a load of cr@p.

Mmmmmm......I keep having wonderful daydreams, trying to guess who, among his sycophants, Obama lacerated for the debacle.

Was it Pelosi---who talked up Obama's "strength"? David Axelrod (now at CBS---egging on Ohaha in a sap-happy tweet to media). The Black Caucus suck-up? Susan no-brain Rice's "advice"?.... Maybe Valerie? Jay Carney? Joe Biden? John Kerry's brain-deadness?

I'm guessing it was greedy Michele.
