The Euroweenies are trying, right now, to get the UN to issue “carbon credit penalties” agains the US.... to help equalize our energy costs.
They cannot continue letting us have such a HUGE advantage in energy cost.
North America is awash with cheap, abundant energy. The only thing the US lacks is the will to utilize this resource.
It just might make sense for Japan,for example,to shut down her nuke plants.I'm no nuclear power plant engineer but it seems to me that a major earthquake zone might not be a good place to build a nuke plant.If that suspicion is correct then perhaps the West Coast of North America might also want to avoid nuke plants.But Germany,IIRC,isn't an active earthquake zone and isn't susceptible to tsunamis.
It’s high time someone called out Dr. Merkel’s hypocrisy on this issue - she knows better. The combination of Euro-socialism and the influx of non-integrating new citizens from the East following reunification are tearing Germany apart. Like the US, the traditionalist are being overrun by the ruling class who is smarter than the rest. Smart enough in this case to trash their high efficient nuclear power industry in favor of a leftists green dream.
Per the article they are sending manufacturing (jobs) to the United States (of which I am grateful). We need to make sure that the lunatic left does not strangle our energy supplies like they've done in Germany. Obama and crew certainly are trying their best (Keystone pipeline; shutting down Coal; stopping drilling where ever they can) -- but they need to be stopped. The Fracking industry has provided a good end run -- but the Left is trying to stymie that work as well.
Under the claims of trying to save the environment, they are actively working to get everyone to be enslaved to the Government -- i.e., no jobs, no independence, complete reliance on a welfare check.
