Not only was Kay Hagan for it before she was against it, she was one of handful of senators that got ObamaCare passed before she had even read it all. Now she is trying to position herself as opposed to a critical part of ObamaCare…who decides who will get what medical care.
Jon Ham, writing at Rights Angles show how dishonest Hagan is being about her role in ObamaCare: N.C. Democratic Sen. Kay Hagan enthusiastically supported Obamacare and bragged about helping craft it. And when it came up for a vote in the Senate on Christmas Eve of 2009, she was among the 60 Senators, all Democrats, who voted to make it law before anyone knew what was in it.
Since the, we've found out many things that are in this legislation, most of it very, very bad, indeed. Nearly every day there is another scary headline about rising health care costs, rising premiums, and, most scary of all, we have found out that Sarah Palin was right when she called the Independent Payment Advisory Board "a death panel."
Given all that, it's no wonder Kay Hagan is running as far and as fast as she can away from Obamacare. Instead of the feather in her cap as she faces a re-election battle, it's an albatross around her neck. To illustrate how frantically she's trying to distance herself from the Affordable Care Act, as it's benignly titled, check out this mailing I got yesterday from the senator:

Do you see anywhere in there a proud announcement that she was a participant in Obamacare's crafting as a member of the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions? Do you see anywhere in there that she voted for the very legislation that she is excoriating in this flyer? I don't.
Instead, I see her repeating all the arguments that Republicans made against Obamacare as it was being debated: bureaucracies getting between you and your doctor, bureaucracies deciding who would get care and who wouldn't, bureaucracies telling doctors what patients they can accept, raiding Medicare to help pay for Obamacare. This from a woman who voted for exactly these things.
And, at the end, she actually has the temerity to ask for our thanks for "working to keep medical decisions between doctors and patients," the one thing that everyone agreed years ago would be imperiled by Obamacare.
Oh, the other thing that's not on this flyer? The word "Democrat."
North Carolinians, get rid of this Obamahag.
They really don’t have a top-rate GOP candidate yet..I hope Sue Myrick runs..
The record will show that Hagan has pretty much been in lock-step with Obama all along.
Seems my old home state is moving in the right direction! Keep it up folks! Sue Myrick would be a good choice!
Do we really need these people in Congress. I also don’t believe they did not know what was in this bill. They knew. It’s obvious since they are making this monster into something that is beneficial only for them.
Kay Hagan is an a$$hat. She is the epitome of what has gone wrong with this State.
If the mainstream media had not assured us that Governor Palin was wrong, I would think that meant Death Panels.

In particular, the questionnaire should ask if the tax-funded "Navigator" program intends to transfer personal/ financial/medical data of the insured to the local/county/national Democrat Party, relevant Unions, banks, investment companies, drug companies, insurance companies. Trial Lawyers' associations and whether "Navigators" have sub rosa contracts with these, and other groups, to provide significant info to enrich databases for pecuniary purposes.

EXCERPT Planned Parenthood is about to obtain access to your Social Security number, tax form, bank account, and medical records.
With the advent of ObamaCare, consumers buying health insurance through health care exchanges will be required to speak to “navigators.” “Navigators” are supposed to help consumers find the best coverage and ascertain whether they are eligible for a federal subsidy.
Any “navigator” will have access to the federal data hub, which holds information from the Department of Health and Human Services, the IRS, the Social Security Administration, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Defense Department, the Office of Personnel Management, the Veterans Health Administration, and the Peace Corps.
Planned Parenthood received $655,000 from the Obama administration to hire navigators. In Iowa, Planned Parenthood of the Heartland received $214,427; in Montana, Intermountain Planned Parenthood, Inc. got $295,604; and in New Hampshire, Planned Parenthood of Northern New England raked in $145,161.
And there is not much scrutiny over who these “navigators” will be; HHS will not require background checks or fingerprinting, and a previous criminal conviction, even if it was for identity theft , will not trigger a rejection. To make matters worse, the administration has cut the new employees’ training from 30 hours to 20 and reduced screening.

“The court rejected the federal government’s argument that Oklahoma lacked standing to challenge the law, allowing us to proceed with this pivotal case,” “We’re optimistic the court will recognize what states have known for months that the IRS disregarded the law by making the large employer mandate effective in Oklahoma or in any of the 33 other states without a state health care exchange.”
REFERENCE Oklahoma challenged implementation of the Affordable Care Act after the IRS finalized a rule that would allow the federal government to punish “large employers,” including local government, with millions of dollars in tax penalties in states without state health care exchanges, which is not allowed under the health care law.
“Congress provided a choice for Oklahoma and other states in implementation of the health care law, and the IRS is attempting to take that away by rule,” General Pruitt said. “The administration miscalculated how many states would support this law, so now they’re using the IRS to push through provisions that Congress did not pass.”
The original 2700 pages are now over 11,000 pages.
The billing codes exceed 140,000.
I don’t know how ANY hospital or doctor can get their paperwork to pass the Feds & get payment.

Hagan has been a weak senator and should be easily defeated. However, 13 months prior to the election the Republicans have no strong candidate identified. While the Republican Party dithers, progressive public interest groups are filling the airways with positive Kay Hagan stories which are unanswered by the GOP or conservative groups.
This seat should easily be a pickup for the GOP. However, by the time the GOP candidate is determined, the public relations campaign underway now will give Kay Hagan widespread name recognition and will have ingrained in the minds of many low information voters the impression that Kay Hagan is a saint. The GOP candidate will have only a few months to change that impression.
If the GOP were serious about becoming a strong majority party, Hagan would have been targeted soon after her victory over the pathetic carpetbagger RINO Liddy Dole. A strong GOP candidate would have already been vetted and would be criss crossing the state ahead of the primary season getting name recognition. The airways would be full of anti Hagan ads associating her closely with Obama, her mentor Chuck Schumer, and every controversial vote she has made. By the time of the general election began, Hagan would be the anti-christ in the minds of the voters.
Having lived in Florida prior to moving to NC I fear I’m going to see a repeat of the weak Republican effort in 2012 to unseat Bill Nelson. Nelson has been vulnerable for years but the GOP just can’t seem to get its act together.
Good Grief. They knew and are still doing things to this fake health care.
