(CNSNews.com) - Secretary of State John Kerry said today that he wanted thank Russian President Vladimir Putin for pursuing a diplomatic solution for dealing with the problem caused by the Syrian regime of Bashar al-Assad controlling and using chemical weapons.
“I want to thank President Putin for his willingness to pick up on the possibility of negotiating an end to Syrian weapons of mass destruction,” Kerry said today in Geneva, where along with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov he announced a deal to remove and destroy Syria’s chemical weapon’s stocks.
That diplomatic solution began when Kerry, speaking in London five days ago, made what the State Department itself quickly insisted was a “rhetorical” suggestion that Syria give up all its chemical weapons—a suggestion which, in almost the same breath with which he uttered it, Kerry himself dismissed it as something that would never happen.
However, the Russian government swiftly snatched up Kerry’s rhetorical statement, put it to the Syrian government, and announced that they intended to move forward with it.
Today, in Geneva, Kerry and Lavrov announced a six-point plan to carry this diplomatic solution out with the endgame being the destruction of Syria’s chemical weapons by the middle of next year.
In London on Monday, a reporter from CBS News had asked Kerry: “Is there anything at this point that his [Bashar al-Assad’s] government could do or offer that would stop an attack?”
“Sure,” said Kerry. “He could turn over every single bit of his chemical weapons to the international community in the next week. Turn it over, all of it, without delay, and allow a full and total accounting for that.

Kerry is a real slime ball. He accuses U.S soldiers of war crimes in South East Asia, meets with the VC in Paris on his own while still in active service, participates in a subversive anti-war group, pretends to get multiple Purple Hearts even though he only spent about 45 days in Vietnam, marries an heiress for her dead husband’s money, parks his yachts out of state to avoid confiscatory taxes from his home state that he advocated for other people, and now thanks that ruthless ex-KGB thug Putin for, in effect, exposing his boss to be the foreign policy novice that he is. The nuts are in charge of the nuthouse.

My goodness, they sure went out of their way with this circus to take our minds off the IRS, Benghazi and NSA scandals. I wonder what Putin was promised by the dummy. I remember odummy wanted to reduce our nuclear stockpile believing Russia would do the same. Someone better check to see if we still have one.
