Came on board around midnight. This was the third headline on the page. I went into some kind of shock and came ddirectly to this thread to tell blackie that I prayed the Angels had escorted him to safe harbor. I did not pass go. But I couldn’t do it. I have been sitting here the better part of three hours just refreshing the page over and over and trying to think of something, anything, that could express how deeply sorry I am. The words fail.

Good morning, Mesta...I was getting the Canteen Sunday Chapel thread ready for posting when my email notification popped up down in the corner of my monitor. I saw the first words of the subject: My Dad, blackie......

I knew what the rest must be....I knew he and his wife have been quite ill for quite some time, but I wasn't ready to hear that he had passed. I am so thankful that his son thought to use blackie's email list to let folks know.
