Maica....in spite of my impending American Idolhood and let’s not forget how I almost single-handedly changed the property dispute procedures in Sussex county Delaware, I am paying attention to all this!

BTW, I sang “American the Beautiful” for my American Idol tryout. Goodness there me and daughter are, discussing what song we would sing for the record we thought we were about to make. We follow the man inside for our tryout and I look around. Instructions say you must sing any song of choice, a capella.

Well dag I know that but I’m wondering, WHERE ARE THE KAROAKE MACHINES?

We go inside, I got to pull a song out of the air, I did “America the Beautiful” as I ponder while I sing just what this was all about.

Lady asks me about my musical experience and again, come on, where are the Karoake machines, quit wasting my time with silly questions.

I tell her of my long history as a choir singer. She was not impressed but I figured...who does she think she is? I just want to sing a Karoake song!

Heh.

She said I sounded nice but was not the stuff of American Idols!

She tells daughter....”not so much”.

They escort us out and I’m thinking, holy cow, that was really an American Idol tryout!

They gave me a badge with my name on it....says “Pat” “tried out for American Idol in Disney World.”

Folks I write fiction but you can’t make this stuff up!

Anyway, forgive for drifting off....but I heard Britt Hume say for the House pubs to defund Obamacare will shut down the gubmint and “is a loser for the Republicans”.

On Meet the Depressed I watched a whole bunch of clue-less libs giggle that it is the “extreme” wing of the Republican party wanting to defund Obamacare.

They can mock and make fun of me all they want, I’ve got a strong grip on my common sense and I will not be told black is white and up is down.

If that’s not racist.....

Yeah its scary especially when the root cause of unrest in Syria and most Mideast countries are never even considered.
A better understanding of Syria is had when you consider the following:
Syria is made up of religious groups that are always fighting for power and recognition.
Sunni muslims make up 74% yet are ruled by a version of shia muslims the Aliwite sect who rule yet are only 11% of the population.
Hafaas Assad Bashar’s father was an alawite and they put all the head guys from that sect(sound familiar) zero puts all socialists in the govt. along with sunni muslims. Hard to imagine.
Shia make up 13% with 10-12 % Christians who are hated by everyone except the alwite who put up with them.
Figuring out who is who in Syria is a cluster fork and good enough reason to just stay the hell out of the country forever and let them fight it out which is what they do anyway.
