I want to see all unions, and in particular, public unions have a cap imposed on the total compensation of any employee of the union to around, say, $75K/yr.

Lets find out just how concerned the "unions" are about the "rank and file" worker. Maybe I'm wrong, but I speculate "union activism" is directly in proportion to the salary of the top union officials.

The last time I looked, around 1995, the NEA had lots and lots of regional officials who were paid more than $200,000 a year.
