Even Leftwing Magazine Slams ObamaCare for Harming Union Members

Otter: Flounder, you can't spend your whole life worrying about your mistakes! You f---ed up... you trusted us!
It is no surprise that conservative magazines and blogs are opposed to ObamaCare but now even leftwing publications are beginning to have this opinion. What caused their new-found opposition is the fact that labor unions have finally discovered that ObamaCare is going to devastate the health plans of their members. The situation of the union bosses from AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka on down who placed their blind faith in the Obama administration somehow exempting their members from the deleterious effects of ObamaCare is analogous to that of the clueless Flounder in the movie "Animal House" after the Delta House members destroyed a car he borrowed.
And now even TruthOut magazine, the periodical that boldly predicted the indictment of Karl Rove (within 24 business hours) back in May 2006 has published this highly critical article about ObamaCare and the unions by the far left Shamus Cooke. If the source were not identified, you would think the following quotes came from a conservative:

Richard Trumka is like the Flounder of American politics for placing his blind trust in the hope that the White House would grant unions an exemption from ObamaCare. I wonder if Otter was on hand to repeat the above quote.

I think this is political smokescreening.
When it’s all over, there will be waivers, bailouts, exemptions enough for union members.
The GM/Chrysler bailout proved to the Baraqqis they could advantage their supporters without retribution.

I don’t think the president of the IBEW-NECA was on board with the AFL-CIO resolution, at least not from what I gathered of his speech. If 0-care ends union health care, coverage will revert to the individual employer. What a mess that will be.

Seeing how this harm was inflicted in 2010, why did these Unions continue to support Obama and his agenda during the 2010 and 2012 election cycles? And even more importantly, why will they still continue to give their support in 2014?

These union thugs are finally starting to realize that under socialism they’ll actually have to take a cut in pay and benefits. I think it’s funny.

People will refuse to comply or pay fines on those grounds alone.

Ain’t gonna happen. The political capital to do this was used up a LONG time ago, and didn’t get replenished in 2012.

God I hope so. If Hissein would dare to give yet another of his pet groups an exemption, every remaining American not so favored-and that leaves most of us-needs to march on Washington with pitchforks. If that's not the straw that breaks the camel's back in this country, stick a fork in it, we're done. We're already being run on the lines of an African thugocracy, where the relatives and favored cronies of the "Big Man" are blatantly favored with rights, privileges, and the stolen property of others. There's no rule of law, the "Big Man" is the law. It's the ghetto gangsta system writ large, replacing our Republic. Sorry Founding Fathers, after all your sacrifices, we couldn't keep it. But have a little mercy on us, our "leaders" have been "electing" a new people to take our place over our wishes since at least the Sixties. But maybe that's on us too, not only for electing the bastards, but for not stringing them all up from the nearest streetlight as soon as they showed the first sign of denying their promises and oaths, and scorning we the people.

We had a machinist who was a member, but I wouldn’t have trusted him around any spacecraft.
