According to the letter I received, I could choose to renew my policy now, effective 12/2013 to 12/2014 keeping my policy exactly the same or I could choose to make it a 2014 ACA compliant policy. If I chose to go with the ACA policy, it doubled the premium. It doesn't say t in the letter, but I believe it has to do with having a policy in force at the time of the deadline. I had 30 days to make the choice and the insurance company was diligent in calling to make sure I did.

When the policy comes up for renewal (Jan 2015), I will have to conform to the ACA nightmare in full if nothing is done to stop the ACA.
