LITTLE ROCK (KATV) - The mayor of San Antonio, Julian Castro, was in Arkansas Tuesday speaking to students at UALR about the political implications of the changing demographics in the U.S.

In an interview with KATV, Castro also spoke out against the controversial voter I. D. law.

"I do believe there's going to be a negative impact to certain communities including Hispanics and seniors. Of course, these laws are new, so we'll have to see now that it's been implemented what the research shows," Castro said.

Castro gave a landmark speech at the Democratic National Convention in 2012, which propelled him to Democratic Party stardom. He said his speech has certainly impacted his career.

"Well it's probably helped in terms of providing a bigger platform, but I'm still focused on San Antonio, I'm the mayor of San Antonio and that's why I get up every day and go to work," Castro said.

Some in politics were even buzzing about a potential run for president in 2016 or for Texas governor, but Castro said he has ruled that out.

"I have yeah, I'm not going to do that. It's very flattering, the idea, but I'm the mayor of San Antonio and I'm going to be there for a while," Castro said, adding that he hopes Texas State Senator Wendy Davis will run for governor.

As for his support in 2016, Castro believes a Hillary Clinton candidacy would "clear the field for the other candidates" if she chose to run.

"I think she's going to be a great candidate if she runs," Castro said.

Those dam ID laws keep getting in the way of us busing in boatloads of illegals to vote.

The Castro brothers in San Antonio are just as corrupt and Marxist as the Castro brothers in Havana.

Julian Castro - mayor of San Antonio

The Arkansas Democratic Hispanic Caucus is organizing the second "Democratas Unidos Conference and Gala" on November 16, 2013 in Fayeteville. The gala will help us raise fund to support candidates as well as protect voters (given our new voter ID law) and ignite our GOTV machine.

Trainers from AZ, CA, DC and IL will expose the attendees to Wellstone training for the New Latino Movement.

As a supporter of Arkansas Democrats, we are invested in the success of Mike Ross, John Burkhalter as well as Mark Pryor.

Forward - Unidos!

State Chair, ADHC

as keynote speaker at the September 2012 Democrat National Convention where he loudly and proudly stood before the delegates and proclaimed his commitment to same sex marriage. “When it comes to letting people love who they want to love and marry who they want to marry, Mitt Romney says NO.”

Castro was the first San Antonio mayor to serve as the Grand Marshal to the pride parade in July 2009. In January 2012, Castro posted to his Facebook page, “Today I proudly joined the mayors of Houston, Austin, New York, Chicago, Boston, Los Angels and more than 60 other American mayors of cities big and small in support of the ‘Mayor for Freedom to Marry’ petition for same-sex marriage equality.”

San Antonio passes controversial anti-bias ordinance - September 6, 2013 - “Today we passed non discrimination protection for LGBT,” Castro tweeted, “Whether you're white or black, Christian or Jew, straight or gay, SA belongs to you.”

Castro: “Hispanics are generally Democratic voters, even though it is true that it’s a community of strong faith and one might think that on some issues they would gravitate toward Republicans. The rhetoric around immigration reform and most importantly the policies that Republicans have adopted – whether it’s voter ID or, in Texas, underfunding education, opposing the expansion of healthcare – these policy decisions send out a strong message to many Hispanics that’s unwelcoming, on top of their rhetoric on immigration reform. So they have impressive office holders like [Sen. Marco] Rubio, [Nevada Gov.] Brian Sandoval, [New Mexico Gov.] Susanna Martinez. But it’s not about personalities; it’s about the policies. What the Republican Party needs if it wants more Hispanic votes is to change its policies. It’s going to take more than knocking on doors or candidates speaking a few lines in Spanish. It’ll take a moderation of their policies.”

If you think the Mainstream Marxist media treats Obama like kid gloves, you should see how the San Antonio media led by the Express News treat the Castro’s. You can’t speak evil of them or the papers will drag you through the mud. And neither one of these empty suits can do no wrong.

If only they would get asked hard questions such as why do you support a party who would cripple you own areas economy in a heartbeat if they could by killing Fracking (Eagle Ford) and cut military spending even more. And wait till Obamacare does it’s thing to the San Antonio Medical community which is another driver of their economy. Castro’s get a pass because of their youth and affirmative action way of accomplishing things.

For a Democrat, voter fraud is almost as sacrosanct as abortion and perversion.
