Residents of Washington Township in Toledo, Ohio are furious at the cop who pulled a woman over for a routine license plate violation, forced her and her family to lay in the street, threatened them with his gun and roughed up her father-in-law.
The incident occurred on Sunday, when Cassandra Meyers was stopped near her home by a police officer identified only as Officer Hart. Her father-in-law, Aaron Tatkowski, witnessed Hart questioning Meyers, and approached. Tatkowski didn’t like the way Hart was talking to his daughter-in-law, according to Toledo News Now.

A spokesperson for the police department said Hart acted appropriately, given that the family members were not obeying instructions.
Of course Herr Hart acted appropriately.
Events like this make it increasingly difficult for the law-abiding public to view the police in a positive, if not neutral, light.

This was not a Toledo Police officer. The officer was from a small political subdivision between Toledo and Michigan called Washington Township.
The only people I hear yelling are the male and female on the ground. Before we cast stones, I’d like to know what the traffic stop was for, did the female have warrants and did the male try to interfere with the officer. The tape shows a small part of the total stop.

Sometimes I think that really is the plan. Of course it could really backfire one of these days when they need the help and the Civilian populace just says .... Nah, not going to do it.

Moderrn cops are becoming elitist in their thinking and view gun owners, pro-lifers, Christians, returning vets, Tea Party types, etc. with increasing suspicion and hostility. I have no doubt on which side of the line many of them will stand when the proverbial $h!+ hits the fan.

He did not arrest the woman so I assume no warrants.
The father-in-law wanted to know why the officer had his DIL and grandson on the pavement in the middle of the street.
Apparently the instructions they were reluctant to follow were to get out of the vehicle and lie in the street.
Note that that the FIL and DIL are handcuffed and on the ground and he still has his gun out and pointed at the FIL’s head.

The officer also had a kid in cuffs and the kid’s razor board was in the street. Bad taillight on the razorboard? I would like to see the beginning, but the cop did not act professionally. Sorry.
I know one, one that is a Christian, returned Vet, very honest great cop... sadly I think he is in the minority nation wide.
