Three men in Grand Rapids, Mich., worked together to detain a female purse-snatching suspect until police could arrive to make an arrest. The men pinned the suspect on the ground following an intense struggle while Good Samaritans comforted the victim.
In an attempt to escape, the female suspect seems to bite one of the men detaining her, prompting him to strike her. The suspect was initially stopped by a Jimmy Johns bicycle delivery worker, and the men in the video helped tackle the suspect, witnesses said, according to MLive.com.
Meanwhile, a group of people gathered around the 75-year-old victim, Evelyn Searl, who had been eating lunch with her daughter when she was robbed. Theyre coming right now, a woman says soothingly to the victim as another bystander places a sweater under her head. The victim was reportedly knocked over by the suspect, causing her to fall on her face.
The female suspect admits to snatching the old ladys purse at one point in the video. The only item of value in her bag was a camera valued at roughly $50, according to the victims daughter.
Dude, shes rich! Shes eating at a restaurant, the suspect says. I didnt break her nose. I snatched her purse. It was sitting on the table. I swear to God I wouldnt hit her.
A Grand Rapids Press reporter captured video of the incident.
In the video, the suspect appears to bite Grand Rapids lawyer Jonathan Damon on the wrist he responds by delivering three punches to her head.
As Damon remains straddled on top of the suspect, the two can be heard arguing in a heated back-and-forth. She pleads with him that she cant breathe, but Damon doesnt buy it and orders her to stop struggling.
When police eventually arrived, reportedly one minute after the video ends, the woman was arrested and placed in a squad car.
Searl plans to press charges against her mugger.

She was just surprised that people stood up to her.
“this is what personable responsibility looks like”
from those pictures, its also what obamas daughter would look like.
Touche in tact. Great inference.
I bet she was. Her people are in charge now.
Rabies from infected animal bites can be lethal. The animal on the ground should have been quickly placed in an unconscious mode via facial impacts with the sidewalk until the unconscious mode was achieved, despite any whining from leftist scum.
Good, she got what she deserved there, and the guy holding her down wouldn’t hear any of her whining and then when she bit him and tried to hold onto his arm with her teeth, he hit her in the head three times to knock her loose...hopefully she did not break the skin...no telling what she may have.
Now hopefully they will send her away to the big house for a good while.
Cut her head open and test the brain for rabies.
She sounds like the purse was some kind of entitlement from the “1%”.
wouldn’t mind them having to examine her brain for rabies. can’t do it while they’re alive.
The perfect getaway!

Copy and paste.
I am the daughter of Evelyn Searl. I am sitting here with her now and although she looks awful with a horribly bruised chin and sore muscles she is fine. We want to make sure that everyone knows that she WAS NOT HIT by the thief, but FELL chasing after her. We are very thankful for all those who helped make a citizens arrest and, hopefully, end the thief’s career.
“Oh, great! We got the head open but there is nothing inside!”
The agony of defeat.
Typical entitlement mentality.
buwahahahahahahaha
i had to watch that over and over.
i love a happy ending.
Everyone should read the entire story at the link(I know asking a lot of Freepers).
The perp also admitted to a home invasion and was found with stolen docs. Why isn’t she being charged with identity theft?
