A prominent "Dreamer" activist named Alaa Mukahhal took to social media to laugh about her cynical use of the American flag as a prop for "messaging" after her story was highlighted by Illinois Democrat Sen. Dick Durbin.
In 2012, Sen. Durbin took to the floor of the Senate and held up a gigantic photograph of a smiling young woman wearing a Muslim hijab with an American flag in the background. He introduced her as Alaa Mukahhal, a Kuwaiti-born 'Dreamer' activist whom he described as being 'of Palestinian descent,' and who was brought to the country illegally at a young age by her parents, went on to become an honor student, get a degree in architecture and now needed a path to citizenship so, Durbin said, she could fufill her American dream. Durbin even went so far as to feature Alla on his own official webpage.
Durbin read from a letter Alaa wrote, saying about herself:
"I'm an asset to this country, a resource, and I want to make good use of my degree."
Durbin closed his Senate Speech about Alla saying:
"In the finest American tradition, Alaa has become an activist. She has stepped out to introduce herself to America, so we know who these Dream Act students are."
A look her Facebook page paints a different picture of Alaa than Sen. Durbin's glowing ode: she's a potty mouthed, politically correct, Israel hating radical activist who drops F bombs and politically correct buzzwords with equal acumen.....

This is a steaming sack of Durbin.
durbin got snookered
Hard to say who used whom here.
Tough call, on which of these two...uhh, never mind, one, Americans is scummier.
So I would think, according to Durbin and other leftists, she'd be an ideal candidate for citizenship!
Not at all, FRiend.....they BOTH used the American people.
It used to be you only saw them at 4th of July and Memorial day, pretty much. It was when I was a kid, for sure. Now you see fresh flags, not old beat-up ones, draped over buildings, hanging out windows, flying from poles or flipping from sticks, just about everywhere. You see them in vacant lots and you see them in little local coffee shops.
What is going on?
“Durbin even went so far as to feature Alla on his own official webpage. “
Are you sure it wasn’t Allah ?
The BOTTOM LINE is that it was Illegal, and they need to be sent back where they came from, and get in line and follow THE LAW.....pandering asshats like Durbin have NO CLUE about decency, law-abiding, or honor.....
How many Taxpayer dollars did this scum suck out of "The System", and the Taxpayers can't even afford to send their own children to college, because their earnings are taken to hand out to Illegals, and to "certain designated Ethnics"?????
Dreamers I’ve seen getting media attention are arrogant jerkazzes. No wonder, they have an entire political class catering to them.
Here’s the message for people considering giving amnesty to her and others like her:
“Here’s another PSA, esp to white ppl: stop trying to “liberate” or “save” us. Seriously, just quit. Everybody. “
OK, lady, you got it. You don’t need anything from us and we don’t need anything from you. Time for you to leave, go back to the country you refer to as your own, stop with your own imperialistic convert-America-to-sharia dogpoop “multiculturalism”, and go back to the glorious place that birthed you.
Your wish is granted, “dreamer”.
How funny! So's Durbin!
Dear Dick: Smooth move, Ex-Lax
With remarks like that..she should booted back to land she admires so much..Apparently she is unhappy living in a civilized country.
She is not and there is no one of so called Palestinian descent.
Sadly, I live in the state that Durbin profanes..
Wow. I always thought the "finest American traditions" were God, Country, Family, fidelity, integrity, diligence, thrift, hard work, perseverance, charity, overcoming adversity, patience, and kindness. Just goes to show how little I know and how ignorant I am after 62 years. I hope someday I'll be as smart as the esteemed Senator.
