McCain tells Russian people 'Putin rules for himself' in Pravda op-ed
Fox News ^ | September 19, 2013

Senate Republican John McCain, one of the most vocal advocates for American military intervention in the crisis in Syria, is firing back after Russian President Vladimir Putin’s op-ed in the New York Times last week, in which the Russian chastised Americans for considering a military strike in Syria and slammed the notion of American exceptionalism.

In an op-ed submitted to the Russian newspaper Pravda, McCain tells the Russian people that Putin "rules for himself, not you." The piece was posted on the paper's website, Pravda.ru, shortly before 10 a.m. Thursday, Moscow time.

He also says that although he has been characterized in the Russian media as “anti-Russian” over the years, he believes he is more pro-Russian than the Putin regime, which he says “misrules” its people.

McCain tells Russian citizens they deserve to live in a society where they can live freely and in accordance with the “inalienable rights” enjoyed by Americans under the Constitution.

“President Putin doesn’t believe in these values because he doesn’t believe in you,” McCain writes. “He doesn’t believe that human nature at liberty can rise above its weaknesses and build just, peaceful, prosperous societies. Or, at least, he doesn’t believe Russians can. So he rules by using those weaknesses, by corruption, repression and violence."

McCain also addresses Putin’s alliance with Syrian President BasharAssad, saying Russians deserve a leader who will not fight on the side of a brutal dictator who carried out a chemical weapons attack against his own people. He says Putin’s allegiance to Assad is hurting Russia’s international stature.

The irony is that a hit-piece critical of Putin can be published in Russia whereas the MSM in the U.S. has forbidden any negative speech against homobama.

“If that’s the case, Mr. McCain, how exactly does that differentiate Russia under the rule of Putin from America under the rule of Obama?”

Putin went from middle class to the richest man in Europe. Obama went from having roughly $2 million to $12 million in five years as presdient. When it comes to cleptocracy Putin is to Obama like Al Capon is to somebody stealing hubcaps.

Clicking through to the full screed, there is this nugget.

"They write laws to codify bigotry against people whose sexual orientation they condemn. They throw the members of a punk rock band in jail for the crime of being provocative and vulgar and for having the audacity to protest President Putin's rule."

McCain throws this in despite the fact that the vast majority of Russians support laws outlawing homosexual proselytizing of minors. And the Patriarch of Moscow pled for mercy for Pussy Riot.

Putin again knew what he was doing. He gave Crazy John enough rope.

Putin is to Obama like Al Capon is to somebody stealing hubcaps.

The US national debt is 17 trillion dollars.

How many hubcaps will Putin have to steal to keep up?

Hey John: That’s what we want here, but you aren’t listening.

You and your boy Lindsey are running off at the mouth constantly against our country.

I don’t know how to post exponentials, however, I was just thinking of the personal wealth. But, then, I didn’t consider all of the vacations. If Obama were a citizen, would be considered income by the IRS. At roughly just shy of a billion, he might be up there with Putin. I don’t know what the IRS considers them when the taxpayers give goods and services to non-citizens. Foreign aide?

“I know you are but what am I” diplomacy.

Some day McCain will graduate to the first grade.

“McKeating Five?”

Ah, yes. I call Senators who do this sort of thing “Pocket Senators.” Things that send others, like Martha Stewart and Leona Helmsley, to jail are legal for Senators. (I think technically MS served for lying, but politicians do that so frequently it’s expected.) A CEO can say in a closed hearing that his company is going to buy Acme and Acme’s stock will go up 60%. If you or I used that information to buy Acme’s stock we’d be guilty of insider trading. But if the Senators do it, it’s legal. I’ve seen studies of Congress member’s stock holding and they look like Hillary Clinton’s pork trading futures. All gains. No losses. What are the odds?

Government has always been a cleptocracy. I thought it was trending better and better, but recently they have all fallen off the ethics wagon.

A friend tells me, “I think all politicians should serve two terms. One in office and one in prison.” I agree. I feel about McCain the same way I feel about Obama. Bad for the country. Time to replace.

McCain actually campaigns for Obama’s Muslim Brotherhood after 35 million Egyptians took to the streets and threw Morsi out.

Talk about an ass clown...

McCain's (or whoever wrote it for him) piece is actually a bit worse than I'd expected it to be, and my expectations were not high. Oh, sure, it was fun for me to substitute "Obama" for Putin" and find the piece to make about as much sense, but there's not a lot of entertainment value in it. If I had a stronger stomach, maybe I could have gotten a few more laughs from the esteemed Senator wrapping himself in the mantle of our freedoms and our Constitution, given his sorry-assed history of tossing either over the side to suit his own needs.

Well, he's on record in Pravda as being against their dictator while carrying the water for America's dictator, so he's still on the payroll, but this was not exactly the machine's best effort.

This was all for domestic consumption back home. With his popularity plummeting, it makes it difficult for him to vote for Obama’s radical agenda. The Tea Party is killing him in AZ. He wants to sound conservative—McCain is a fraud.
