Tony Blair's daughter Kathryn and her boyfriend threatened in gun robbery terror

Tony Blair’s daughter Kathryn has been threatened at gunpoint in a botched robbery.

The young barrister was walking her dog with her boyfriend and a group of friends when the attackers struck.

The pair were in Marylebone, a mile from the £975,000 home her father bought her in 2010, and near his own central London property.

Neither 25-year-old Miss Blair nor her boyfriend were harmed in the attack, which took place at around 8pm on Monday.

The attempted mugging is thought to be linked to another similar incident in the area on the same night.

The two attempted robberies took place just half an hour apart and both involved the use of a firearm to threaten a couple.

A spokesman for the Blairs said: ‘Kathryn was with a group of friends. No one was hurt and nothing was stolen.’

The group were approached by two men, one armed with a gun, and were asked for cash and jewellery before the suspects fled empty-handed.

I don't get it. It sounds like two incidents in one night, one of which involved Blair's daughter. The robbers apparently walk up, show a gun, and then run away without taking anything.

How weird is that?

Okay, so in Britain a “barrister” is a lawyer, as opposed to this country where it a person who serves you coffee?

I'm always amazed at how lifelong public servants manage to amass such huge fortunes while collecting the measly salaries the get while "serving" said public.

Perhaps because they’ve been without guns for so long, that when they finally HAVE a gun, they don’t know what to do with it.

In this country, we have Breastisters.

Neil Cavuto has a pair of Breastisters on his show every single day

What a brilliant idea, disarming law abiding citizens for their own safety. What’s next, taking life preservers away from boaters because the coast guard is there to save you when your boat capsizes?

In England, you have two types of lawyers, "barristers", who are trial lawyers who argue cases in court, and "solicitors", who due things like draw up contracts and wills and send nasty letters threatening to sue.

>‘We believe both attempted robberies were carried out by the same male suspect though on the second occasion he was accompanied by another individual.

Not a single word other than “male” describing the perp. Lots of other typical blather, but nothing to help describe the mugger. Pathetic gits. With all the surveillance there, you would think a video of this would be available somewhere.

Journalism and effort to catch criminals are at an all time low.

“a mile from the £975,000 home her father bought her in 2010, and near his own central London property”

Always fascinating to see politicians who have never held a job outside of garden variety attorney, becoming multi-millionaires. He’s supposedly worth 45 million. Very socialist.

Barristers work in Starbucks.

Solicitors work on street corners.
