The quakes seem to be centered at Bonelli Park (near the intersection of the 10 / 57 / 71), one mile south-west of the LA County Fair.
First one didn’t wake me, but woke my daughter, second one did. Kind of interesting looking at the waveforms for these earthquakes, very short duration close to the epicenter with a lot longer just a couple miles away (3 seconds vs 7 seconds.)
The thing that gets me is how close to the surface the epicenters are.
This has been an ongoing swarm of quakes, most of them micro events (1.7 - 2.2), about 17 in the past 7 days. Almost all of them are under a half mile in depth, most within a quarter mile. Kellogg Hill, near Cal Poly, has had very similar swarms as well, but if I recall correctly, they were deeper.
