Only 8,000 women? I bet if you look at the “attempted suicides” women would outnumber men by at least 2 to 1. They are for the drama. Men just blow their brains out and are done with it.

You are right. Historically, data shows that women "attempt" suicide several times as often as men do, but men succeed much more frequently than women.
