The Huffington Post inaccurately accused Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) of conceding that the [Republican] party's efforts to repeal ObamaCare aren't going anywhere in the Senate on Thursday. This article is misleading and is meant to drive a wedge between Senate and House conservatives.
First off, Cruz is not making an effort to repeal ObamaCare. Republicans have voted over 40 times to"repeal" the President's health care overhaul and none of those votes have amounted to any change in law. Cruz is leading a fight to defund ObamaCare. This is a markedly different approach; Congress would use its power of the purse to pull back funding for implementation of the law, but it would technically remain law until a repeal attempt was eventually successful. Yet the Huffington post uses the word "repeal" in the headline as if it is the exact same strategy.
In the piece, there is discussion of the effort to defund, but its used entirely to drive a wedge between House and Senate Republicans.

The D word.>> Defund... ah, the word these greedies never want to hear entering the realm of government.
No matter. We are winning. The ObamaCare issue is finally getting oxygen. ObamaCare itself is on a hate increasing trajectory. The issue is a Bigtime Loser for the Dems. Rats jumping ship in 10, 9, 8 ...
Hour into his show and Rush hasn’t even mentioned this yet. A strong case can be made that the whole movement against universal health coverage in the U.S. goes back to Limbaugh’s bitterness at Clinton being elected. He went after Hillary’s plan from before it was unveiled and the Covservative movement has been following his lead ever since. Maybe Katherine will give him permission to talk about it during the second hour.
Proof that Sen. Cruz it hitting them under their armor.
Go Ted Go!!!!
A rant follows:
“Evil triumphs when good men stand by and do nothing.”
FOX News works the “middle” for profit, as an equal opportunity bone thrower. This “principle” is the sole reason that good guys do get a hearing there, particularly during a food fight. (For the ratings, food fights ARE profit.)
In practice, they give HANNITY a slot, but then there’s Shepherd.
In practice, they give GRETA (all buttoned up) a slot, but then there’s KELLY.
In practice, they hire all blondes for all day, accomplished in debate not civics, and send them off to “Wardrobe”.
In practice, Wardrobe wraps the blondes tighter than a tourniquet, in colorful garb with hem lines up to “there”, and necklines cut down to “here”, unnaturally suspended from the floor in 5 inch stiletto heels, appearing, the hooker trend, but in high end apparel. Hilarious for a day of breaking news.
FOX News is unserious, a scandal rag sheet we have to be grateful for, as the only very tiny platform and a miniscule number of minutes available for decent people to be heard anywhere on the tube. Even then it’s seldom a cake walk.
Don’t get me started on blustering Bill O’R, who reigns as a peacock over both his audience and his guests, bringing incoherence to every topic with his countless rabbit trail ejaculations just in time to redirect away from what are often the most critical points of information being made by a “guest”.
I rest. :)
The HuffPo never publishes anything EXCEPT pro-Democrat hit pieces.
