Self-attained moral uprightness only goes so far, but the forgiveness of sin in Christ Jesus for poor sinners - including those who by all accounts are "on the other side" - lifts a broken body of death into the highest heaven. "But go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy and not sacrifice.'"
The people who have been fighting the "culture of death" need to be applauded by the Pope, not told they are "obsessed" with it. Real children are dying in abortuaries. If the Pope wants to save them, he should uphold those who do God's work in this area, and not give reasons for glee to the enemies of Christ like NARAL, who sent a personal "thank you" message to Francis yesterday. That disgusts me, and it should disgust anyone, Catholic, Christian or Jew, who has tried to uphold the right to life for all, from conception until natural death.
