Siblings born in San Diego live with their mother in Mexico while their father works in the U.S. He's building a house for his family, but he won't be living there.

Gabriela and Benigno, then 32, who were in the country illegally; Benigno for 10 years; Gabriela, four. Their doctor, Johanna Archer, paid for the treatment. "I felt they deserved the chance to have a child," she said.

So a bleeding-heart doctor funded illegal immigrant Gabriela’s treatment for infertility so taxpayers would have to fund medical care for the delivery and premature baby care of her children, and in the process create six anchor babies for the LA Times to use as props for promoting a pro-amnesty agenda. Great! Taxpayers should go to the doctor to collect!

Good God...another sob story.I don't give a rat's hindquarters about the wetback members of the clan.As for "immediate and automatic" citizenship for anyone born here...CHANGE IT! Many Western countries had such a policy once upon a time but most, including every Western and Central European country, did away with it in recent years because they saw the damage it was doing to their societies.Today, the US and Canada are the only civilized nations on earth that still have that policy.

Get the wetbacks...ALL of them...out and change the "automatic citizenship at birth" law.

Oh my! Another boo-hoo story about a saintly immigrant family being crushed by the demands of obeying the law.

No me importa.

Citizenship should only go to those kids born of legal immigrants to the US..period. These types of stories only serve to convince that our current policy is inhumane..families can unite in their home countries. Mexico has a lower percentage of unemployment than the US and especially LA.

OH, Boo hoo hoo!!

Typical for the LA Times to print yet ANOTHER illegal alien sob story on the front page. I canceled about 10 years ago and rarely see the LAT on people’s driveways. Guess we all got tired of being insulted. Never does the LAT print stories of those of us who have to pay for these things or suffer with the quality life due to the LAT’s open borders policy.
Good riddance, I hope the paper goes out of business.

Must have been difficult to impregnate their mother across an international border...

There's so many (glory) holes in the border fence.
