I see it as a combination of things starting with children playing the games with no supervision or moral reference points. Then there’s the subjective reality being taught in the schools.

There are a lot of factors but video games are only one.

True. I think in a perfect world, however one reaches that perfect world, there is no violence. Ostensibly society is moving toward that goal - utopia, or whatever. A society, or it’s rulers, that has such games, I question, is not moving toward that state, but one of mediocrity and suffering. The individuals in such a society that need such games are a reflection of the imperfections of that society.
