With over 20 states across the United States cutting jobs the unemployment rate has reached around 9% avg, throughout the nation. The Labor Department said Friday that 29 states added jobs in August. Unemployment rates rose in 18 states, fell in 17 and were unchanged in 15.

'The picture is decidedly mixed,'' said Jim Diffley chief US regional economist at IHS Global Insight. ''We're still optimistic about the improvement (in hiring), but it's been slow.''

What about the other 7 states? The Doufus said there were 57 states. Maybe Putin could start writing op-eds about all the stupid things President doufus said when running, unlike the Doufuses who ran against him!

>> unemployment rate has reached around 9% avg,

This is a rate, not a net difference since the a-hole took office.

That’s right. It’s the employment difference that needs attention.

Only because he changed the way they calculate it these days - would be between 11% and 14% if calculated the old way. It has gotten worse despite the claims of an improving economy.

I’d like to see how UI is offsetting the rate of actual unemployment.
