Teachers 'Forced to Wear Hijab at School Even if They Are Not Muslim'
Mirror ^

Female teachers at a Muslim school are allegedly being made to wear a hijab - even if they do not practise the religion.

Teaching staff claim women are being told to sign new contracts stipulating they must wear the Islamic scarf during lessons.

Several employees at the Al-Madinah School in Derby have complained to their union about the rules.

Some non-Asian staff have been spotted taking off their hijabs as soon as they were out of sight of the school during the lunch hour.

The row over the headwear is one of several complaints made by staff to their unions about the school.

Al-Madinah, which does not recognise unions, is under investigation by the Education Funding Agency for alleged irregularities over its grants.

Nick Raine, regional NUT officer, said he was "very worried" about the school and the education of the 200 children there.

He said: "It's one thing to have a dress code which we can challenge and quite another to build it into a contract."

The new contracts for staff also include rules about not taking non-halal food into the school and not being allowed to wear jewellery.

The hijab covers the head and chest and is worn by a Muslim female beyond the age of puberty in the presence of adult males.

NUT officials also claim girls are being forced to sit at the back of classes - which is affecting their education.

Branch secretary Sue Arguile said: "There are worries over practices concerning the discrimination between male and female pupils in the school.

"The girls are being told to sit at the back of the class regardless of whether they can see the board properly."

When the school opened in 2002 it said the timetable would be flexible, with pupils able to learn about all faiths.

Ms Arguile said: "This school was first launched as based on Muslim principles and not as a Muslim school."

Al-Madinah is a new type of free school, which the Government is allowing groups of parents, or interested parties, to set up.

These operate in much the same way as private schools, outside local authority control but qualifying for Government funding.

Ms Arguile added: "If the school is not sticking to the original reasons behind why it was set up, then it does call into question whether public money is being used properly and for its intended purpose."

A Department for Education spokesman would not comment on what stage the investigation had reached.

He said: "We are investigating the allegations and will respond in due course."

The school refused to comment.

Give the muslims what they want — it’s done all over the world.

But even so they’ll complain 24/7 and the West gives in 24/7.

“Non-Asian”

What a peculiarly western European invention.

Time to add yet another stanza to my ever-expanding parody song about British dhimmitude:

a href="http://www.lutheran-hymnal.com/lbw/lbw568.mid">God Save the Queen

To Muslims don't be rude
Living in dhimmitude,
No offense bring.
Gospel preaching is "hate"
Christian faith second rate
The goal of servile state:
Alllah is King.

All women Hijabs wear
To avoid angry stares
Muslim or not.
Cover in sight of school!
That is the contract rule
Can’t have muzzie school boys drool
At hair so hot.

For kiddie’s farm set play
We take the pigs away
(They are unclean)
Never make Muzzies mad
They might declare Jihad
And though it makes children sad
Pigs are unseen.

When Ramadan draws near
We forsake ale and beer
(Can’t give offense)
School children can’t eat lunch
Can’t even candies crunch
Lest Moslems’ panties bunch
Dhimmis’ nonsense.

Can’t stop with solid food
Liquid intake is rude
Don’t “water” kids
Let them all dehydrate
Christian faith’s second-rate
Diversity’s ever-great
Alllah is King.

Don’t ignite a Koran
Can’t even burqas ban
They might protest
Shar-i-a’s here to stay
Amputate, stone away
Beheadings on Friday
Thus falls the West.

History books made clean
“Holocaust” never seen
Must teach a lie.
Seperate but equal?
Not in a British school
What is this new found rule?
“All truth must die.”

Some lessons in multiculturalism aren’t as easy as others. And teachers should know that no one, generally, is ever finished learning.

What a bunch of high-handed malarkey! And the brain-dead Brits just let them do this, in the midst of what used to be their own country.

As much hatred as I have for moslems I can't find any real sympathy here.If Christian schools have a right to forbid moslem staff to wear those burlap bags a moslem school has the right to require the wearing of these sacks by non moslem staff.

It’s a Muslim school??

If you are stupid enough to take their money and work there you obey their rules.

Is it a “private”school? If so, the hijab is a work uniform. If it’s a “public” school, every non-mooslim woman should wear a mini-skirt and halter-top just to see those pious pedophile-followers try to walk while Ali-The-Ten-Maker is at work.

If those teachers are complying, they have nobody to blame but themselves. Some people might just be too stupid to survive.

Apparently this is a public school. Their funding comes from the government. Do they give this same benefit to Hindu schools, Buddhist schools, Wicca schools?

Of course even though England is technically an Anglican Monarchy, I doubt if Christian Schools get government funding like the Muslims.
