Putin highlighted traditionalism as the center for Russias national identity.
Without the values at the core of Christianity and other world religions, without moral norms that have been shaped over millennia, people will inevitably lose their human dignity, he stated.
The president criticized Euro-Atlantic countries where any traditional identity, including sexual identity, is rejected There is a policy equating families with many children with same-sex families, belief in God with belief in Satan, he said.
Any minoritys right to be different must be respected, but the right of the majority must not be questioned, Putin added.

President Putin also joked that his old friend Silvio Berlusconi, former Italian Prime Minister would not have faced trial if he was gay.
Berlusconi faces trial for bedding women. If he was gay, no one would ever lay a finger on him, he said with a smile.

Because sodomy is “natural” don’t ya’ know. Dogs do it.
That’s not fair to dogs. Sorry, dogs.
Can’t say he’s wrong. Heck, if Berlusconi had been a pedophile he probably would have been okay. That’s how left wing European media has become
Wow - I guess so. Quite refreshing to hear this kind of talk from a world leader. Or should I say THE world leader?
The girly-men that populate DC are an embarrassment.

Dogs don’t do sodomy that i’ve ever seen. My dog has fine morals, including world class loyalty.
Anyway, Obama hates dogs because he’s a moslem. Except for dinner that is.
Agreed. Bad metaphor on my part. I hang my head in shame.
Are all western conservative watching? Russia is becoming a role model country. Not only are they the low tax, limited government, they also embrace traditional Christian values
The more I hear from Putin the more I like him.
while western europe/america move further left, former communist countries are moving more right
Well...Barney Frank never got busted when his boyfriend was using his house for child prostitution....so maybe Putin has something here
Who would have ever believed that we would agree with a Russian president before the president of the U.S.? I find it sad that I respect Putin more than Odumbo, but I do.
He should have specifically excluded Islam as a Satanic death cult, but there is more sense in that one statement than you could squeeze out of the West Wing in a month. It's hard not to respect someone who speaks truth, whatever the ultimate motivation.
You first.
I wouldn’t give Putin too much credit.
After all, it doesn’t take a whole lot of intellect and courage to mock a country which has allowed itself to be governed by a class of people without shame or scruples, or even common decency.
With Obama, Biden, Pelosi, Reid and the Republican leadership non-entities as the public face of America, little wonder opportunistic opponents play pig-in-the-middle with your hat.
Russia also has a 13% flat tax...
http://www.voxeu.org/article/effects-russia-s-flat-tax
“In January 2001, Russia introduced a fairly dramatic reform of its personal income tax, becoming the first large economy to adopt a flat tax. The Tax Code of 2001 replaced a conventional progressive rate structure with a flat tax rate of 13 percent. Over the next year after the reform, while the Russian economy grew at almost 5% in real terms, revenues from the personal income tax increased by over 25% in real terms.”
Superpower Role Reversal And The Flat Tax Miracle
“Socialism: While the U.S. punishes millionaires, Russia and China reward them. In the upside-down era of Barack Obama, the capitalists act like communists and the communists act like capitalists.
Our multimillionaire president frowns on “millionaires and billionaires” and soaks them with higher taxes. But Russia loves them and even offers refugees of high-tax countries asylum.
Last week, the Kremlin, once headquarters of the Evil Empire, granted millionaire French actor Gerard Depardieu Russian citizenship so he can avail himself of Russia’s 13% flat tax and avoid his home country’s proposed new 75% supertax on millionaires.”
