The wheels are coming off the clown car that is the modern Republican Party. House and Senate GOP leaders are sniping at each other, on Twitter and, even more nastily, via their congressional aides. And no one’s been more vilified than the junior senator from Texas, Ted Cruz. Not even Barack Obama, for a change.
Cruz has defiantly led his party down the dead-end path of demanding that Democrats agree to defund Obamacare in exchange for Republicans’ voting to keep funding the government. Polls find even Republicans don’t like that idea, and so a few GOP politicians are asking what Cruz’s endgame is. And when Cruz said he knew Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid wouldn’t let such a bill pass the Senate, and suggested it was all up to House Republicans, the knives came out.
Actual House Republicans attacked Cruz under their own names. Arkansas’ Tim Griffin tweeted, “so far Sen Rs are good at getting Facebook likes, and townhalls, not much else. Do something.” Wisconsin’s Sean Duffy likewise tweeted, “House agrees to send #CR to Senate that defunds Obamacare. @SenTedCruz & @SenMikeLee refuse to fight. Wave white flag and surrender.”
Rep. Paul Ryan told Politico in an interview, not via Twitter, that hostility to Cruz and other Senate GOP extremists is “pretty palpable in our conference, I would say. You mean about how they’re saying we’re not going to fight, and back at you, we’re not going to fight but forget about what we said earlier? Yeah, there’s a bit of frustration. … We all believe the same thing, we all want to achieve the same goal, and so we shouldn’t be questioning each other’s conservatism over tactical disagreements.”(continued)

Whena a communist skank like Joan Walsh starts writing simple drivel like this, you know the good guys are doing something right.
Ryan says they all want to achieve the dame goal. Then why did they try to sneak a phony “no” vote through that would allow the senate to fund obamacare?

I have a hard time with this argument. How does funding Obamacare now result in getting rid of it in any plausible future? Even if R’s take the Senate in 2014, repeal will never get past a filibuster nor a veto. Does he really think there’s a good chance conservatives we will get a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate and the presidency in 2016?
Barring that, there’s no chance for repeal. Therefore, this is not about tactics regarding the best way to get rid of Obamacare, it is about whether Obamacare becomes permanent.
Conclusion: It is a strategic dispute within the Republican party (disguised as tactics) about whether Obamacare SHOULD be gotten rid of.

Dear Republican Congress:
When Obama/Reid and the demonrats come to you begging for money to fund the government, say here it is and present your prepared budget — with zero funds for obamacare — and let them know straight up that there will also be NO debt limit increase and, throwing Obama’s own words back at them, there will be NO negotiations!!
If they say no or refuse to go along, reject what the senate demonrats send back to you and begin passing “clean” appropriation bills one by one per each essential department with no amendments allowed. Double dog dare them to deny funding to each department, one by one!!
Keep up the good work all the way to Nov 2014 if necessary. We the people have your backs!!

Look at how Tom DeLay was persecuted for 10 years using the legal system. McCarthy was destroyed and he was just telling the Truth.
