My understanding is they get to vote on whatever comes out of reconciliation but it has to go to committee first and be reported out. I’m not sure but I don’t think they can make amendments since that would break whatever deal came out of reconciliation.

I’m with you on the leadership though and simply don’t trust them for anything. These guys inspire no one and the best they can do is bully House members. They have “loser” tattooed on their ankles. I wish they were both canned from leadership but not sure the conservative reps have the votes.

If that’s how it works, with them not being able to amend it, then the only option would be to buck their own leaders and vote down the “reconciled” version.

Maybe we need to be starting a recall effort against Cantor and Boehner, and maybe we need to be getting pledges from our Representatives that they will not vote for ANY legislation - including a “reconciled” version - which funds Obamacare. They need to let Boehner know that they will NOT back up his negotiations with their vote if he gives away the family jewels.
