Northern Viriginia (NoVa) down I-95 to around Fredericksburg is no longer in any meaningful way Southern. It is an extension of the Northeast Corridor with the same cultural attitudes. McAuliffe is using the Obama strategy of winning big in NoVa to compensate for losing in rural “Southern” VA. He has gone big time in pushing the social liberal message with gun control and he has consistently run ads touting his Pro-Abortion message.

The problem McAuliffe has is that NVA will not be turning out in anywhere near the numbers of 2012. Also the recent polls show Ken picking up steam especially when looking at the composition of some of the ones like WaPo one that assumes a ridiculous electorate for non presidential elections. The GOP side has enthusiasm on their side and even many of the natural Democrat allies in the media are not enamored of him and have been generating considerable negative news where he is concerned. Also the fact that McAuliffe can’t get anywhere near 50% shows this race is a tossup. What I’m impressed with is that E.W. Jackson is managing to keep his race neck and neck.

"..."We need universal background checks for everyone to keep our loved ones safe."..."

Because, of course, we ALL know that THAT would have stopped the Navy Yard Shooter, the Colorado shooter, the Sandy Hook shooter...

I can picture those guys now... "Wow... I better NOT shoot up any public places today, because like, you know, umm, I had like - a Background Check - DUDE!! and like, you know... THAT would be like all illegal an sh*t...."

Yeah... THAT'LL do it. Proving once again McAullife is just another worthless Democrat Bolshevik bonehead.

To the NRA: Fire up your Virginia chapter and get busy. Send lawyers, guns and money as the saying goes.

To all gunnie groups and clubs in Virginia: mobilize your people and resources.

If you have Recall option, be prepared to mobilize and exercise it against ANY of these clowns trying to infringe on your Second Amendment rights - Dem OR RINO.

"The chair is against the wall..... John has a long mustache.... the long sobs of the violins of Autumn...."

Not a majority of them.

But with that GD Libertarian in the race he doesn’t need majority.

McAuliffe might simply have said, “How many more mentally ill people will it take to erase the rights of regular Americans?” Never in the history of America has the behavior of mentally ill people been used as a justification of political despotism. This is straight out of the National Socialist textbook from the 1930s—the Reichstag Fire tactic, that is, take an event committed by a mentally-ill person and use it to justify political actions that are otherwise illegal and unconstitutional. Howe much longer must we, the American people, suffer these acts intended to erase the rights that Americans have uniquely been gifted and subsequently earned?

By the way, it is clear the motivation for McAuliffe’s statements—it is the money shoveled on him from NYC.
