I will remember that. I have friends in VA but can’t get there with my firearm. Traveling as female without protection is limited. It isn’t right that we have to be sitting ducks.

Here's some more info from that NRA lawyer's class.

If you are going to carry when you travel, be very sure that the state you're in has a reciprocity agreement with the state that issued your permit.

And consider getting a Utah and/or an Arizona permit. Those permits are widely recognized, and you don't have to be a resident to get one. You just have to attend an approved class. Google "Legal Heat" for details.

If you are going to transport a firearm when you travel, be very sure that the firearm is in a LOCKED hard case, and that it's separate from any ammunition. Furthermore, both the firearm(s) and the ammunition must be out of your reach. So put them in the trunk if you are driving.

As I mentioned before, none of this matters in DC, Baltimore, or NYC. You go to jail no matter what.
