When you’re dealing with crazy people they want their way regardless of the damage they’ll do to get it. They simply don’t care what the collateral damage is. Conscionable people however, do care. That’s why we do negotiate with terrorists. And, yes, a politician who is willing to damage the military and reduce its effectiveness for a decade into the future to achieve his socialist aims is a terrorist.
