I had a yelling match with one of Coburn’s Oklahoma City staffers this morning. Total jerk.
Coburn says he’s against continuing resolutions. So why the heck would he vote for cloture on a continuing resolution? If he’s truly against it because they’re supposed to pass a budget, then he should be a no-brainer for a NO vote on cloture.
I wonder what the NSA has on him.
The staffer in the Tulsa office was also very concerned with how it would “look” if the government shut down. He said, “you know we lost 15 seats in the House the last time there was a government shut down”. It was like he had these talking points all ready to go. They don’t like Cruz rocking the boat. How dare someone newly elected tell them how it is going to b done....that is their attitude.
I told the staffer to quit worrying about what the media is going to say, they hate you anyway.
