If Lamar were to run and win another term in the Senate, he’d be 80 when that term ends. Enough.
Tell Lamar to take another trip to Australia like he did in the mid-80s when he was actually needed by the GOP after his run as TN governor and was asked to run for the Senate.
Really stupid to insult a Texan and reference the Alamo. Even dumber when you are the Senator from Tennessee and bad mouth Davy Crockett the same sentence.
As a kid, I had a coonskin cap...( today, that’s be racist)
Fess Parker had some awesome roles for Disney back then: Davy Crockett, and the dad in “ole Yeller.” However, my favorite movie of his..which you can never see anywheres..lawd knows why, is “The Great Locomotive Chase.”
Sam Houston did retreat to San Jacinto, deeper into friendly territory. Alexander has metaphorically switched sides and is drinking a margarita in Mexico City.
You’re first
LOL
Famous Crockett speech
don-o, please add me to your ping list and thanks for the job you are doing on chronicling this campaign.
I can’t wait to see Joe Carr sworn in and Alexander moving out of his Senate office.
You’re on. I hope he’s a hoss we can ride to victory. Levin right now is calling out both of the Tennessee rinos.
I heard there may be a "Tea Party Primary" this time to avoid that against Lamar! Anyone know about that?
There is a process underway. I will know more after Saturday.
Add me too.
Is it the TN GOP who ultimately picks our candidates? Wamp would have been 10,000 times better than Haslam but the RINO won the primary somehow. Also, we need to make sure we defeat Lamar (and later Bob) without ending up with a Mourdock or Akin.
Davey Crockett was a great American hero and arguably a very early Tea Partier. We need many more like him in congress - men who serve honorably, vote with their convictions (even against great opposition), and then return to private life.
done
thank you....
Lamar! may be old enough to have known Dvey Crockett, but he sure is no Davy Crockett.
I had the pleasure of meeting Joe the other night when he was in Lynchburg to speak and to answer questions. I was impressed. He's straight-forward and is up on the issues, and stands on the right side of the issues. He's got my vote.
Odd that Lamar! brought up Crockett and the Alamo. Joe talked a bit about them the other night and I got the feeling he's done the same at other events. Makes me think Lamar! has sent some of his people to scope out the competition. LOL! Word is that he's worried and that's a good thing.
