Give it a rest. Today’s very straightforward battle is to have the house withhold funding for Obamacare. Accomplish that, then the next very straightforward battle is to deny Obama’s further crippling borrowing, taxing and spending. The house has the sole constitutional authority, power and duty to accomplish all of that and there’s nothing Reid or Obama can do about. Refer to James Madison, Federalist 58 and the power of the purse. It’s not even a tough battle. The house simply needs to hold it together and abide by the constitution and the will of the people who elected them to do specifically this. Deny, deny, deny! There is NOTHING more important to the constitution and the Republic at this time.
Uhh, Jimbo, the ACA`s funding falls under mandatory appropriations, even in a govt. “shutdown” which we all know never really shuts down, and will not be defunded as much as the GOP could defund Medicade/Care or Social SEcurity.
So, enjoy the ride until the USA loses reserve currency status then watch the usd collapse, gas at 15 bucks a gallon and interest rates at 20%.
