Correct. Because Harry Reid already has an amendment filed which will be voted on after cloture which will strip the defunding language. And that will require only a majority (John McCain and Susan Collins will probably vote for it so their pals the democrats can say it was “bipartisan”)
Exactly. And you can hear the Senators saying that they have been good because they voted “for” being against Obamacare, but in fact, yes means Reid can amend it.
The anti-Obamacare rhetoric is providing smoke and mirrors for a vote that ultimately allows to fund it. Many people still don’t get it.

YES! It would allow Reid to strip the language out that prevents O-care funding,,and it would allow Reid to then call a vote after that to get the CR passed without any discussion or ammendment,,,,so voting YES on cloture gives Reid and the Dems tons of power.
That’s why Cruz is screaming to vote “NO” on cloture. That’s the simple message we all have to get out today. Vote NO on cloture. Vote NO on cloture.

If Reid gets cloture, he’ll use his power as Senate Leader to amend the House CR to strip away the defund provision AND importantly he will use the same power to not allow any other amendments.
And at that point it will only take 51 to pass the CR.
Hence the way to stop it is at the 60 vote place - cloture.
