Sen. Tom Harkin to Congress: "We are at one of the most dangerous points in our history."
As the clock ticks down toward a possible government shutdown, Sen. Tom Harkin, D-Iowa, isn't holding back.
On the Senate floor before 10 a.m. Friday, the senator gave a speech describing how American politics have reached the level at which "a small group of willful men and women who have a certain ideology"—read: the tea party and Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas—have been able to take over the congressional budget debate in the last week. "Since they can't get their way," Harkin said, "they're going to create this confusion and discourse and hope that the public will be so mixed up in who is to blame for this, that they'll blame both sides."

I am still not comfortable with the color coding of the states. Remember that it was the liberal media who switched the colors on us. I forget exactly when they did that, but it was because they didn't want to be identified as 'red' because it was too close to the truth of Commie red.
Didn't do 'em any good. Most of us are perfectly comfortable with it now.

Sesecession yes, Civil War no. The Red State wienies don’t have the gumption to fight.Secession is a valid option to weaken the Federal parasite class.
However, looking across our Republic, I can't see one Governor who has a Warrior mindset in the cause of Liberty.
The political class of both parties are quickly marching us towards rabid Socialism.

I forget exactly when they did that, but it was because they didn't want to be identified as 'red' because it was too close to the truth of Commie red.It was the 2000 election cycle, when they desperately wanted Algore to win - so much so that they started to mis-report the election returns to suppress the GOP turnout.
That year set the pattern for this nation's current condition.

Agree. From here on, things will start to get interesting real fast. At this point it looks like they are planning to install the fake flu emergency right after the public is forced to start joining the very unpopular Obamacare exchanges. They must be anticipating a major backlash. Cruz's "filibuster" was an example of the coming backlash. If they can however get Obamacare delayed by one year, then they will probably hold off until next year. IMHO.

It's all the Republicans fault. As the Democrats went far left and consistently forced that agenda down the people's throat the Republicans have NOT BEEN THE OPOSITION PARTY.
BRING ON THE NEW OPPOSITION PARTY and throw the other bums out by recall or in the primaries IMO. Send them ZERO money for the bad votes and maybe as a token of your love send them a Depends diaper.
