Sure I would. Unless you are doing something threatening with them, there is no reason any cop should have anything to say about it. Apparently police these days are minimally trained in what constitutes legitimate Constitutional law.
Back when I was a teen, we had rented farm acreage that was somewhat remote from the family farm acreage, so I would routinely drive the tractor from one site to the other to "bush-hog" the pastures. When bush-hogging, I carried a .22 revolver loaded with rat shot (for snakes). Worn in a holster, out in the open. I often stopped in at the local grocery (which I had to drive past) for a quick soft drink. Never even thought about removing the gun, and never got it commented on. Of course, the fact that the store owner was a former Marine "might" have had something to do with that.
Of course, I have already been warned that I had better not attempt to open-carry, given some previously mentioned beliefs of the necessity of any "License". At least I get the staff and blade back usually. Sometimes just the staff though, I should mention.
