Not surprisingly several of these fast-growth areas are in burgeoning Texas metro areas. The population of Williamson County, on the outskirts of Austin, has expanded 7.94% since 2010, the strongest growth in the nation over that period. Far from turning into a slum, over the past 25 years the countys residents have enjoyed the Lone Star states fastest rate of income growth and the sixth-highest in the nation.

Not only are their the libs from la la land coming here focusing on our conservative values, but we have liberals within the Hispanic community( mayor castro from San Antonio) pushing an agenda that is right out of San Francisco and it’s minority sexual orientation group.
CA is lost, but sadly, Texas is/will morph purple and someday mostly blue. Once that is done, so it the nation as we know it.
Not if we start to bring back American jobs.
That is what is sinking America.
BRING BACK AMERICAN JOBS.
What kind of jobs do you want to bring back?
Making shoes?
Assembling televisions?
Seriously, what jobs here would people be interested in?
Kids straight out of college don want to work, they want instant high paying careers starting day one.
What jobs do you miss that will restore the economy that has been destroyed with the mo ey printing machines?
Frankly I want to bring all of them back.
Actually.
Our unemployment rate is over 7%. Has been now for 3 administrations.
China has a better unemployment rate than America.
We need to fix our economy, and bring back American jobs.
Now.
You’re probably correct.
Colorado only took 8 yrs to swing from +5 Bush 2004 to +5 Obama 2012 (discounting 2008 as an outlier).
Demographic trend is not good.
They have screwed up California to the point they cannot afford to live there anymore, so they move to another state and try to make it just like the “workers Paradise” they just escaped from.
When I lived in Colorado in the late 80s & early 90s we came up with the word, “CALIFORNACATION” of Colorado. Now it is Texas’ turn.
I don't know the answer to this problem but I am thinking that bringing back the old “Vigilance Societies” might just work.
The Shifting Suburbs: Changes in the Nation’s Political Fulcrum
For decades the country’s political destiny has been determined by the swing-voting, tree-lined streets of suburbia.
Research from AU’s American Communities Project finds this is changing. The ACP has identified racial, ethnic and economic changes in the last decade reflecting a significant shift in the suburbs, swinging them Democratic and altering America’s electoral calculus.

This is one new Texan who’ll help Texas stay Red...I did come from Mississippi (that pretends to be “conservative” but loves gubmint freebies too much to actually be prosperous).
Ignore those unTexan like whiners in the first few posts.
...well you can ignore the whiners... but Williamson Co is currently Repub, but has Del Webbs Sun City with 15000 voting seniors mostly from out of state and they aren’t all conservative. Arrived in the County in ‘09 and noted that the Republicans in charge have turned it into the THIRD HIGHEST taxed County in the state of TX! What were they thinking? Now Acorn is on the ground with the students in Georgetown and trying to get Demrats elected like in the leftist Keep Austin Weird Travis Co flakes next door. Texas is a target and the Texan Repubs better get off the couch and fight for the state.
ymmv
When Texas conscripts all males from 14 to 70, there will be a lot of Johnny-Come-Latelys who will head for the borders. Only those dedicated to fighting for freedom will remain, as was the case in the first Texas revolution in 1836.
No, no it won’t.
Along with his La Raza mama.
It isn't like the most republican voting age group turned the county pro-Obama.
John McCain received 55% of the vote to Barack Obama's 42% in the 2008 election. In 2012 Republican Mitt Romney defeated President Obama by a total of 59% to 38%.
As these counties grow, they tend to turn blue. This is not good for conservatives because these counties have traditionally been red and have helped to capture a number of states for the R side. With the solid urban counties now bright blue, the transition of suburban counties helped to elect and reelect Obama and will help to elect Hillary in 2016.
Good news for Texas...A Broward county Florida couple (via NYC) moved to Texas but only lasted 2 months!!! Said they couldnt fit in....
GREAT JOB TEXANS!!!
