Just curious, Amy—but were they planning to do the amputation as an out patient? Are you saying they are just now admitting him to the hospital due to a rapid heat beat?

Sorry if my post was not clear.
He went to the hospital and was being prepped for surgery. Since his heart rate was too high, they postponed the surgery and moved him to the ER until they could get him admitted.
His was dehydrated and his magnesium level was low. They are keeping him in the hospital tonight and if they get him stabilized they are anticipating surgery tomorrow.
Jim said he will let us know when he hears something. I do not know if he will post, call or have Chris send me email. Whatever I hear, I will get it posted.
