Shale Show 2013 will take place Tuesday-Wednesday, Oct. 1-2 at the Nolan County Coliseum in Sweetwater’s Newman Park. Shale Show is an energy technology showcase, business networking, and information sharing event that will be held in every odd-numbered year in Sweetwater, in the heart of the Cline Shale and America's Energy Solutions Region.
Shale Show is open free to the oil and gas industry, regional leaders and businesses, and to the general public. A very limited number of indoor and outdoor display spaces are still available for a fee.
Shale Show is a nationwide event. With more than 150 exhibitors booked from across the USA and Texas, the intent of Shale Show is to showcase the increasing energy activity in the West Texas oil region. Exhibitors are coming to Shale Show from across Texas, as well as several other states, including Alaska, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Florida, Oklahoma, Missouri and New Mexico. In Texas, the industry is coming from the Permian Basin, Barnett Shale region around Fort Worth, and the Eagle Ford area south of San Antonio. Several hundred people are expected to attend from the energy industry.
Texas Railroad Commissioner Christi Craddick will be the keynote speaker on Wednesday, Oct. 2, and George P. Bush will also be a special guest speaker on Oct. 2. There will be trade show displays in two buildings, heavy equipment displays in the Coliseum and outdoor displays, and seminars in the Coliseum.
Shale Show will take place every odd-numbered year beginning in 2013 to showcase the continued productivity of America's shale energy opportunities and to alternate with Odessa’s well-established Permian Basin International Oil Show that occurs next in 2014 and even-numbered years.

12-12:45 p.m. — George P. Bush, St. Augustine Partners, Fort Worth.
1:30-3 p.m. — Texas and regional workforce issues and opportunities — Roundtable.
