Democrats generally opposed all three, saying Republicans shouldn’t be permitted to choose which agencies remain open and which stay shut.

Why not? There's nothing in the Constitution that says Congress can't do that. And Dems love to read all kinds of thing out of the Constitution that were never intended by the creators.

I guess it was ok with the DEMS when zero dictated which car dealerships could remain open and which ones would close when GM was bailed out. What was it Romney said during the first debate? Something about zero picking winners and losers and mostly losers.

DEMS are hypocrites!
